Counselling and Psychotherapy involves listening and talking, and understanding the relationship between the people involved in a safe and confidential environment Therapy sessions offer an opportunity to have the space to tell your story, and be listened to. An important part of this is to establish a healing and collaborative working relationship with your therapist.
Therapy is in active journey of self-exploration, enabling you to overcome difficulties or issues, learn about yourself as an individual, and work towards reaching your full potential. It also offers an opportunity to have a neutral space, with a therapist who is empathic and objective. The therapist is able to offer guidance and support, though the ultimate responsibility for changing remains with you.
Sessions are usually held weekly and last for fifty minutes.
Initially we can have an assessment session for you to get a sense of who I am, and whether we both feel comfortable to work together.
My aim is to help you grow from your struggles, to heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
All sessions are held in the strictest confidence and I do not discuss or divulge with any third party the contents of the sessions.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Counselling can enable you to, recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with the pain of loss and bereavement. There are many different type of loss we may encounter and experience in our lives. My aim is to help you to work through these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing, thus enabling you to accept the reality of what has happened to you.
Relationship counselling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both parties, and offers a safe and supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
